History of the Mantra

Since Vedic times, the worship of Goddess Lakshmi - symbol of wealth, fortune, and auspiciousness - has been an integral part of both household and commercial life.
Vedic scriptures like the Rigveda mention Shri (Goddess Lakshmi) as the radiant energy that nourishes all existence.
In homes, her puja brings harmony, prosperity, and sustenance; in businesses, she is invoked for ethical success and fruitful growth.
A common mythological origin traces to the Samudra Manthan, where Lakshmi emerged seated on a lotus, signifying that true wealth arises from balance, discipline, and effort.
Since then, she’s worshipped especially on Fridays, Diwali, and Varalakshmi Vratam, as a way to invite prosperity.
Regular pujas are believed to cleanse spaces of negativity and attune the practitioner to abundance, generosity, and right action.
